Good to know you are not alone

Halloween is around the corner... so time for the many outfits.Hailey is teething on the bottom, so she has to have her binky all the time Today was a same old, same old day... But I had a great MOPS group discussion. If you are a stay at home mom or work part time and have time to join a MOPS group (it's Christian based), I totally recommend it. It gives you time to talk with other mothers, while your children are being watched by helpers. And even if you don't want your child to go to the class room, they can sit with you in the meeting. Today, we had a fabulous video, which had a speaker named Julie Barnhill. It was great and so refreshing to know that every mother goes through what you do and you are not alone. It gave me great insight on things to look forward to and what to maybe work on when it comes to the way we express our anger on to our children. She was so funny and I'm looking into buy some of her books. http://www.juliebarnhill.com/ . After the video my discussion group just talked and talked about things we were going through and it was such a great relief to know that no one is perfect and everyone has something that bothers them.
On the other hand, Sunday, JC and I decided that we needed (very much needed) a date night. So we sent Hailey off to my parents to stay the night and we hit the streets. We had a fabulous dinner and then went a movie (Couples Retreat - FUNNY). We kept telling each other that, we need to make sure we do this more often. Plus, we laughed to think back in college and before Hailey that dinner & movie wasn't a treat. Now, we think it's the greatest thing!! Funny how life is... plus, some of the theaters here have a bar and you can take drinks in the movie. So, it was like being at a bar but got to enjoy a great show. Note to all - make time with your man... it totally refreshes your relationship and you have no responsibility of a child for a few hours. Thank the lord for grandparents!!
