Recap on what's been going on

Well on Thursday night Hailey slept 8.5 hours... JC and I kept waking up thinking wow she is still not up. Finally JC got up to check on her and of coarse she was fine & asleep!! Friday night the Hiler's came to visit. It was a wonderful short visit and poor Jackson even fell of the bed :( Jackson and Hailey gave each other Christmas gift... and Hailey is already playing (or grabbing) her cooking set (to make Jackson fine meals). ON Sunday my Mema, Papa and Grandma came into town for Christmas. Grandma got to meet Hailey for the first. And she even had the touch to put her to sleep.
The funniest thing happen today... JC had Hailey sitting on top of his shoulders and it was so sweet. She just sat up so good on his shoulders. JC was talking to me and then it happened... out came the spit up right on top of JC's head. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even help him... it was rolling down his face!! That is one for the baby book.
Tonight we did our annual Dollar Tree Christmas (get everyone a gift that only cost a dollar). We were able to take some generation pics!! Merry Christmas and I will update more after the Holidays!!

Hailey Meets Santa

While we went to lunch with some friends and then off to the bass pro shop to meet Santa. We get there and no Santa at his workshop.... Apparently Santa doesn't come to work till 5pm. So off to another Santa we went. This Santa was actually very nice and let us take lots of pics. Also I recommend going during the week day to meet Santa... there was no line and no wait. I also put pics of Hailey's friends Parker and Nicholas... they are 13 & 14 months old. So you guessed it, lots of tears. Hailey is also starting to grab the toys on her bouncy chair... oh the little things in life that amaze the parent. We are so proud of her!!

Well, it has been one whole week since we started putting Hailey in her crib(in her room). JC was surprised that I didn't end up having her back in our room when she would wake up. It was very hard for me to sleep the first night and my 5-6 hour sleeper woke up every 3 hours. But I was good and didn't put her in the cradle in our room. I did watch the video monitor very second just to make sure she was still breathing. It's funny because I didn't check on her that much in the cradle when she was in our room... I guess it was because she was close to me?? Plus, I think it was easy for me to put her in her crib also because she didn't sleep with us. The only time she gets in our bed is when we want a few more hours in the morning or when JC is gone to work and I want a few more hours to sleep. Hailey is good at going back to sleep after her 6 am feed, sometimes we aren't out of bed till 10am. She is spoiling me before I have to go back to work. Overall she is back to sleeping 5-6 hours at night. On Saturday Night she went down to sleep around 10:30pm and didn't get up till 5:40am, ate and then back to sleep for 3 hours. As we were getting ready for our first church service since she was born... Hailey had a melt down. She has had a stuffy nose (been having us bulb syringe and saline lots) and she couldn't breath good to eat. So she lost it which made the nose worse... then she would gag. We were dressed and ready for church and about to give up when she just tuckered herself out and fell asleep. So bound and determine we went to church 30 Min's late. Hailey slept all through church and all through brunch, and then slept more. So after sleeping 6 hours with not eating... JC and I started to worry. JC woke her up and I fed her and she perfectly fine the rest of the day!! We guessed her fit and her stuffy nose really wore her out. Poor baby!!

2 month shots

Hailey got her 2 month shots today!! I had to take her alone because JC had to work. I actually did fine, I don't know if it's because I'm a nurse and I have to give shots myself to little ones (which I hate)or because JC wasn't there with me. So I had to suck it up and be a big girl. I had given her Tylenol before we went, which I think helped because she slept for a good 3 hours afterwards. She did very well with the whole experience: swallowed the Roto oral vaccine with no problems. Then came the 2 shots... then a high pitched cry... then I picked her up and she cooed at the nurse. Drama over!! Little britches now weighs 12 lbs 6 oz (90% in weight), and 23 inches long(75% in length).We ended up spending the rest of our day shopping. Didn't manage to get any Christmas shopping done, just bought Hailey's Christmas outfit. Hailey now found her hands so here is a video of her trying to suck her thumb, but just can't find it!!

Hailey's first travels and thanksgiving

Well, it has been a while since I posted a blog... we were out of town!! So this blog will be long, sorry. We started our first vaction with Hailey last Saturday. We went to Houston for Jackson's first birthday. Hailey did wonderful in the car, slept the whole way. Hailey and Jackson finally met and I will say they make a cute couple. Hillary did a great job with wacko's birthday and the cake was great. So, that even we watch the worst tech game ever and we all went to bed depressed :( On sunday we packed up and headed to east texas to the farm. Hailey did wonderful again in the car. We spent 4 days at the farm with my parents and my grandparents. But JC and I both got bad stomach flu's while we were there. Luckley I got it sunday night... JC and my mom stayed up all night taking care of me and Hailey. Let me tell you, if you are a breastfeeding mother with the flu it is not fun(I will not get into details). Luckley I brought formula and JC had something to give Hailey. Then 2 days later JC got sick... but he didn't have it as bad, but it still knock him out.
On Wendsday we returned to SA, and again Hailey slept the first 5 hours of it and then was up the last 2 hours. She surprisely is a good little traveler. Thursday was Thanksgiving and we head off to JC's parents house. The food was wonderful and we had a fabulous time. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!! Friday, Julie came in town and she got to meet Hailey for the first time. Then the rest of the weekend was full of football and friends!! Now it's time to get the christmas stuff out.. tis the season!!
